The Qatar First Investment Bank was officially opened this week during a ceremony at the Museum of Islamic Art that was attended by former US president Bill Clinton. The new fully Shariah-compliant investment bank has an authorized capital of $1bn and is the first independent, non-affiliated Islamic investment bank to be licenced by the Qatar Financial Centre.
