Abu Dhabi: Those enjoying the new beach at Abu Dhabi Corniche will have to pay Dh10 as entrance fee from tomorrow, the Municipality on Wednesday said.

Families will pay Dh5 per member as the municipality has dedicated separate zones for families and bachelors on the new beach, said Engineer Jumaa Mubarak Al Junaibi, General Manager of the municipality. The fees are meant to provide access to genuine users of beach facilities, he said.

The move is to control the crowd on the beach, a senior official told Gulf News. The beach facilities demand special treatment, said Engineer Abdullah Al Shamsi, Director of Roads and Infrastructure of Abu Dhabi Municipality.

&quot;Considering the high standard of the facilities, the entry fee is very nominal,&quot; he said.
