Do I have the right to cancell my job application in a certain establishment?
I did not yet started my work with them but, i already have signed their Company Policy/Contract & have given already my original passport & photos. After 2 days (thursday & friday), I've talked with them professionaly & gave apology that I am quitting my application to them. Honestly informed them that i have found my very choice of work. In short, the (establishment) verbally released me after telling that the cancellation will take maximum of 2 days and at the same day also (Saturday), I got back my original passport & photos from them but I have to pay AED280 for that cancellation, and so I did pay that the next day.
After 2 days, i had follow-up the cancellation. As they replied, IT WAS NOT YET CANCELLED and i have to pay another AED250 for the cancellation in Immigration. Eventhough it costs me so much, as for the settlement of everything, I replied that "no problem, i will pay for that". Again, they told me to wait another 3 days for the total cancellation.
After 3 days, I follow-up again and they told me that I have to pay another AED1250. That was so terrible. They told me that if I really want to be cancelled, I have to pay that huge amount.
My questions are:
1. Is the application for employment visa could take as fast as 2 days? even one of those days is Friday and I already informed them on its 3rd day for the cancellation and have paid them for that also?
2. Granting that they (establishment) already forwarded my application for employment visa to the Labour, if they had informed the Labour to cancell it on its 1st step, could it be possible to proceed to the next step which they told me it's already in the Immigration & I have to pay AED250 for the cancellation?
3. How long approximately could it takes the cancellation of employment visa? Providing that I informed them the early cancellation & have proof that I paid them for that cancellation.
