Everything is under the control of the Almighty! I think this is quite evident when certain incidents occur in your life that literally jar you awake.

I witnessed such an incident at Al Dhafra Road, in Abu Dhabi, recently. At about 4.30pm, when I was on the way back home from work, I saw a large truck turn the corner of the street.

It was odd, because most container lorries do not use the road, and it was the first time I saw one in the area.

The truck driver apparently did not see a tall tree leaning out onto the road. A sudden collision caused the tree to become entrenched in the middle of the truck, between the driver's cabin and the container itself. The driver had to stop, as he had no way of moving forward without completely uprooting the poor tree. A lot of people gathered around to watch this unique sight.

Soon, a fire truck arrived and firefighters were successful in pulling back the tree. I do not know who was at fault for the particular instance, but I am sure the tree was not supposed to be leaning right into the main road!

I urge authorities to ensure the landscaping and greenery are maintained well in the city. If the tree had collapsed onto a passing car, I am sure the motorist would have been injured.

Additionally, motorists should be careful while driving, too! I guess abrupt accidents such as these are warning signs for the unaware.
