Burt Hill, an American architecture design firm, on Tuesday said it has made 111 employees redundant in Dubai, continuing the wave of cutbacks that have occurred in the emirate's real estate sector. The layoffs, which represented more than 18% of the firm's 611-strong workforce in Dubai, resulted from the slowdown that the property sector as a whole is experiencing, said Haydar Hassan, director of Burt Hill and member of the board of directors and executive committee.
