In an alleged breach of contract, construction firm Arabtec and its partner Malaysian engineering firm WCT are seeking financial compensation from Meydan after their racecourse construction deal was cancelled in January. Arabtec have said it could take a year to resolve its contract cancellation dispute with Meydan Group. WCT has announced that part of their claim exceeds Dhs1.65bn. The claim from Arabtec is yet to be announced
